TRYKA'S TASTIES

Well, it is always disappointing to start the season with a loss. But, a nice easy win by San Diego on Monday Night got me out of Week 1 unscathed.
All aboard the Stain Train...

Miami +4 at Louisville:
I see Miami being very motivated for this game to keep their BCS hopes alive. Miami doesn’t like being the underdog and being “disrespected.” Louisville is a flashy offensive type team that will struggle against a very fast and tough Miami defense. Louisville’s defense is not nearly the same caliber – surrendering 28 points to Kentucky Week 1. To make matters worse for the 'Ville, they are without their starting tailback for the rest of the season. As much as I hate to root for the Big East deserters from Miami against a current league team, I don’t think Louisville will win this game.

Baltimore -12 vs Oakland:
This game almost seems a little too easy. But, Oakland’s horrific performance on MNF was not merely the players not playing hard or poor execution – it was a complete failure on all levels. Art Shell is clueless as his team was woefully unprepared. The Offensive Coordinator was completely over-matched – fitting for somebody who has been running a bed and breakfast for the last 12 years. This is something that is not going to get fixed overnight or in a week's preparation – especially when it is a short week coupled with a cross country flight. The Ravens D will pin their ears back and dominate a punch-less Raiders offense much like they did to Tampa Bay. Aaron Brooks has to have had nightmares this week thinking about Ray Lewis and Company after taking 9 sacks last week against a very ordinary Chargers defense. It wouldn’t surprise me if Baltimore’s D outscores the Raiders offense. Look for the Ravens to roll in this one.
Season Record: 1-1
