Picking against Oakland has been too easy, so I have decided to add another NFL game to compensate. And if we have two NFL games, why not a 2nd college game? My Thursday night special will be posted today with the rest of the picks to follow tomorrow.

Virginia Tech -2.5 at Boston College: This is strictly a feel pick. Virginia Tech was bombed at home a few weeks ago by Georgia Tech. They were outplayed badly – especially on special teams – a Hokie trademark over the years. I have to imagine Frank Beamer has been killing these guys getting them ready for tonight’s game. On the other side, BC has not impressed me at all this year. They did beat Clemson, but had to slide by BYU and Central Michigan and lost to NC State. In addition, two big trends are in Tech’s favor – They have won 8 of their last 9 against BC and have an impressive 10-1 record ATS on ESPN Thursday night football. Look for VT to have a nig night on special teams with a blocked kick or return and will easily cover the small spread.
