GUTTERBOY: MAN, MYTH, LEGEND

This is the first in a potentially infinite series of postings about Gutterboy, whose whereabouts are unknown but whose indiscretions are legendary:

My fondest memory of Gutterboy was during his Hell Week. He had forgotten his pin and was forced to wear a 10-pound weight around his neck. The mantra was "outside, in; inside, out" meaning that if he was outside the house, he had to wear the weight under his shirt. When he was inside the house, he had to wear it for all to see. It was attached via a shoelace.

GB and I had Spanish class together, which was how he came to know about Crow, and we were taking a test. I look over at him and the shoelace that held the weight around his neck was clearly visible and cutting into his skin. He saw me looking, slightly adjusted the shoelace and we both had to bite our tongues from laughing hysterically at the idiocy of him wearing a 10-pound weight in class.

I need to go to Patagonia to see if he's still working there.
